It is that time of year again when the Center for Family Resources (CFR) holds their annual Thanks for Giving Event. For more than 36 years, the Center For Family Resources has been providing families in Cobb County with food for Thanksgiving, but we believe that Thanks for Giving is more than a meal. It is an opportunity for families to create and continue family traditions, to gather with their loved ones and to give thanks in a way this is meaningful to them.
Volunteers are needed this year to help with the following:
Sorting Food Donations
Unloading Trucks
Organizing Donations (boxes, food, etc.)
Quality Control
Distribution
Traffic Control
The event will take place from November 14-19, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Spots are limited so registration is first-come-first-served.
** Minimum age requirement is 14 to volunteer. Must be able to stand for periods of time and lift heavy food boxes frequently**
