“What Happens When Someone Files Bankruptcy During a Construction Project?”

This presentation is a primer course on what happens when a party to a construction project files bankruptcy. This presentation is practical and unique because it covers bankruptcy topics from the perspective of the financially healthy company (not the bankruptcy debtor) and because the presentation is tailored specifically to bankruptcy issues on an active construction project. The speakers will discuss bankruptcy basics, what a bankruptcy proceeding is like, how to identify and address common issues that arise in a bankruptcy and, most importantly, how to efficiently move forward when someone else’s bankruptcy affects one of your projects.
